Facial Plastic Surgery
It is a great thrill to create beauty. A beautiful face consists of the right proportions and alignment of the facial components - the eyes, nose, mouth, chin, cheekbones, and ears. When the proportions are right the blending of these facial components produce beauty. Beauty can also be restored when the results of aging are eliminated.

The nose has a unique position as the most prominent facial feature and often is in need of adjustment to create or restore beauty. An underprojecting chin can make the nose look too large. A chin implant can easily remedy that distortion. Facial scarring due to trauma or acne can be made less noticeable through camouflage, scar revision surgery, grafting, and dermabrasion. There are many techniques for dermaplaning the facial skin - dermabrasion, chemical peels (many different kinds), and laser skin resurfacing techniques (there are many with new types of lasers being tried all the time - CO2, erbium, KTP, etc.). The goal with all of these dermaplaning techniques is to produce smoother textured and less pigmented skin. Reducing prominauris or "dumbo ears" can improve a young child's self image. It can also improve an adult's self-image allowing for short hair cuts or for long hair to be pulled back with improved appearance.
Surgery for the aging face can restore the beauty of youth. The newer Suspension Facelifting surgery which reduces skin laxity, wrinkling, jowling, and neck fullness often produces a face that appears 10 years younger, can last much longer than previous procedures, with less risks and less healing time. Blepharoplasty is cosmetic surgery to rejuvenate the aged eyelids by removing the excess skin and fat that accumulates around them. It is often performed under local anesthesia and can be done in conjuction with facelifts. The eyelids are usually the first facial area to age. Lip Plasty can restore fullness to the lips. Thin lips can be the result of aging or genetic tendencies. Liposuction of the jowls and neck can be performed alone with minimal surgical downtime as a pre-facelift procedure or during facelifting as a fat sculping technique. Dermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser can eliminate fine wrinkling and freckles. Permanent or temporarty filler material can be injected to reduce wrinkling as well. Botox injections which cause localized muscle paralysis can temporarily eliminate deep muscular wrinkling. Cheek bone and cheek augmentation can improve facial appearance by creating a fuller more youthful face and can minimize deep mid facial wrinkling.
